Come ready

  • NightRoute is 18+ only. Bring accepted photo ID.
  • Charge your phone, enable precise location and arrive at the first venue on time.
  • Follow each venue’s dress, capacity and entry rules.

Respect people and places

  • No harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, unwanted touching or drink tampering.
  • Respect venue staff, event runners, residents and other guests.
  • Do not share tickets, spoof location, duplicate claims or pressure staff to bypass redemption.

Drink responsibly

  • An included shot is optional and has no cash value.
  • Every redemption includes a designated alcohol-free alternative at no extra cost. No explanation is required.
  • If the listed alternative is unavailable, the venue must provide a comparable alcohol-free drink agreed with the runner.
  • Venue staff have the final say on alcohol service and may refuse service as required by law.
  • Never supply alcohol to a minor or someone who has been refused service.

Move through Melbourne safely

  • Stay alert near roads, trams, laneways, stairs and crowded entrances.
  • Wear suitable footwear, check the weather and arrange safe transport home.
  • Tell the runner if you leave the event or become separated from your group.

NightRoute and venue staff may remove a participant where reasonably necessary for safety, licensing, fraud prevention or serious breach of this code.
