1. About these terms
These terms will apply when you create a NightRoute account, buy or receive a ticket, join an event or use the NightRoute app. NightRoute is operated by DREAMLAB STUDIO PTY LTD (ABN 77 673 584 426), an Australian private company with its main business location in VIC 3805, Australia.
2. Eligibility and venue entry
NightRoute events are for people aged 18 or older. Bring current, legally accepted photo identification. Each venue controls admission and alcohol service under its licence conditions, capacity, dress rules and responsible-service obligations. A NightRoute ticket does not guarantee entry or alcohol service where a venue must or reasonably decides to refuse either.
If you buy for other people, you must make the age, ID, device and conduct requirements available to them before the event.
3. What a ticket includes
Unless the event listing says otherwise, one ticket includes participation in one scheduled NightRoute event, entry at up to five participating venues and one included promotional shot—or one designated alcohol-free substitute—at each venue, subject to lawful venue service. The alcohol-free option costs nothing extra and never requires a medical, religious or personal explanation.
The route is intentionally secret. The starting location is provided before the event; later venues are revealed progressively. NightRoute is the event organiser and remains responsible for delivering the NightRoute service subject to these terms and rights that cannot be excluded by law.
4. Group bookings and transfers
An organiser may buy or invite a group, but each participant needs their own valid ticket, eligible account and compatible device. The purchaser is responsible for accurate contact details and sharing event information with the group.
An unused ticket may be transferred once, free of charge, until two hours before the event. The replacement guest must be 18+, accept these terms and complete NightRoute’s account and device checks. The original ticket is invalid once the transfer is confirmed. Activated, redeemed, refunded, disputed or suspected-fraud tickets cannot be transferred.
At least 48 hours before the event, a purchaser may cancel one or more unused tickets in a group order without cancelling the rest. Refunds return only to the original payment method and NightRoute does not divide them between group members. See the Refunds, Transfers & Changes Policy.
5. Account, phone and location
Your ticket may be bound to one account and device. Keep your login secure and do not share, copy, resell, reverse-engineer or manipulate a ticket, token, invitation or redemption screen.
Activation and redemption require a compatible charged phone, data connectivity and precise location permission. NightRoute checks location and device information to confirm attendance and prevent duplicate claims. Screenshots, recordings and copied tokens are not valid proof of entitlement. Do not attempt to spoof location, reuse a token, create duplicate accounts or interfere with the service.
6. Included-drink redemption
Each included drink may be redeemed once, at the current venue, during its active window. Venue staff complete the live press-and-hold control on the guest’s phone, and only NightRoute’s backend can approve the transaction.
A promotional drink has no cash value and cannot be saved for another venue or event. At every stop, a guest may choose the pre-agreed alcohol-free substitute at no extra cost. If it is unavailable, the venue must provide a comparable alcohol-free drink agreed with the runner. Alcohol service remains subject to Victorian liquor law and the venue’s final decision; choosing alcohol-free never removes the venue’s right to refuse entry for another lawful reason.
7. Conduct and safety
Follow lawful directions, respect staff and other guests, drink responsibly and arrange safe transport. Harassment, violence, illegal drugs, drink tampering, supplying alcohol to minors, deliberate fraud and dangerous or seriously disruptive conduct are not permitted.
NightRoute or a venue may refuse participation, service or entry, or remove a participant, where reasonably necessary for safety, licensing, suspected fraud or serious breach. Any refund outcome remains subject to Australian Consumer Law and the approved refund policy.
The experience involves walking through Melbourne at night. Wear suitable footwear, obey road rules, remain aware of traffic and weather, and contact the runner if you become separated or need assistance. Accessibility varies by route; ask before booking for event-specific information.
8. Arrival, timing and route changes
Arrive at the stated first-venue check-in time. Late arrival may mean missing a venue or included redemption; contact event support for the current joining instructions. [LEGAL INPUT REQUIRED: approve late-arrival and no-show remedies.]
Venue order, timing, walking route, included drink or a venue may change where reasonably necessary for safety, licensing, capacity, weather or operations. NightRoute will communicate material changes as soon as reasonably practicable and provide any remedy required by law.
9. Cancellations, changes and refunds
For change of mind, an unused ticket may be refunded when NightRoute receives the request at least 48 hours before the advertised start. Inside 48 hours, an unused ticket may instead be transferred free until two hours before the event. No-shows and missed stops do not normally qualify where the event was supplied as promised.
If NightRoute cancels an event, customers may choose a full refund, including mandatory fees, or another date. Major changes and service failures are handled consistently with the Australian Consumer Law. See the complete Refunds, Transfers & Changes Policy.
10. Technical faults and support
Mobile networks, GPS and third-party services can fail. If a fault blocks activation or redemption, contact the event runner immediately through in-app support. NightRoute may verify the ticket, location, device and audit record before applying a controlled remedy. The app must never let a customer mark a redemption as used or approved.
For booking support, email support@nightroute.com.au. See the full contact directory. In an emergency call 000.
11. Payments
Prices are in Australian dollars and checkout must display the total price, GST treatment and any mandatory fee before payment. Stripe processes card payments; NightRoute does not intend to store full card details. Chargebacks do not replace the support and refund process, but nothing here limits legal rights.
12. Monthly and yearly passes
Membership passes are personal event-credit products, not unlimited-drink promotions. Every booked event remains subject to venue capacity, ticket activation, lawful service and the same alcohol-free choice.
Monthly Pass
The proposed Monthly Pass is $69 per billing month and adds two event credits. It renews monthly until cancelled. Members may cancel before the next renewal without a cancellation fee; cancellation stops future charges but does not retrospectively refund a current period except where required by law. Unused monthly credits expire at the end of the billing period unless checkout states a more generous rule.
Yearly Pass
The proposed Yearly Pass is $699 for 12 months and includes 24 credits, released as two credits each month. Up to four unused credits may roll forward during the active annual term, with no more than three event bookings in one calendar month. All unused credits expire when the term ends. The annual pass will not automatically renew unless the customer separately opts in.
A member must still reserve a place for each event. Membership is non-transferable, but an individual ticket booked using a credit follows the standard ticket-transfer policy. Before billing opens, checkout must clearly display renewal, cancellation, credit expiry, availability and price-change terms. NightRoute will provide at least 30 days’ notice of a membership price increase.
13. Content, feedback and acceptable use
The NightRoute name, app, route presentation and original content remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the service only for personal participation. Feedback may be used to improve the service, but NightRoute will not claim ownership of your pre-existing ideas or content. [LEGAL INPUT REQUIRED: approve licence wording for photos, reviews and event recap content, including a separate optional marketing consent.]
14. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in the draft Privacy Policy. Separate collection notices should appear where precise location, payment, waitlist and optional marketing information are collected.
15. Consumer rights, liability and disputes
NightRoute services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Contact support@nightroute.com.au first so NightRoute can investigate and respond. [LEGAL INPUT REQUIRED: a solicitor must approve any permitted limitation of liability, force-majeure treatment and Victorian dispute wording.]
